Artist Statement:
Imagine laying on your back, gazing at the expanse of a white ceiling.
You see space.
It gives you the freedom to think, reflect, dream.
Where did I walk today? What pebble appeared to me on my path . . .
What spaces did light and dark create? Which forms spoke to each other? What attracted me to them? What did they say to me?
In these times we live in,
forms crashing together,
black lines creating light and perspective,
colors touching each other, splashing out, receding,
allow me to contemplate that walk,
react to the news, think of a friend, admire a striking landscape.
. . . And once again, I lay on my back and look at the ceiling.
